About the Artist
Courtney Silvia, a young dedicated contemporary artist, was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1995. She currently lives and works in the central Connecticut area. She recently graduated from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT with her interdisciplinary B.A. in Studio Art. She is currently working on a body of work that pulls from and comments on topics such as “high” Western Art tradition, humor, sexuality, identity, and socio-political commentary. The paintings in the series can provide an alternate reality or perception of reality for the viewer.
